I went to work, came home for an hour to pack up and almost fell asleep. Then I gigged a gig. Then I came home and wrote. I’m ready for bed!

But the good news is that I have all of my mini-plot points written out, so writing comes REALLY easy. The only reason why I stopped when I did is because I can’t keep my gosh-darn eyes open anymore.

Day eight is here! I didn’t get really far though.

Reason being is that my computer desk is NOT made for sitting and typing for hours on end. The end result is really sore wrists. They’re pretty darn red now. Because of working on the website at work, I spend all day on the computer there, then I come home and write for a few more hours. It’s not helpin’ ze hands!

I need to get my laptop from work tomorrow and start writing on there. Tomorrow I think will be another poor-writing night, depending on how late my bands’ gig is. Hopefully I’ll crack 1000 words.

This is the first time since I started NaNoWriMo where I’ve written UNDER 1000 words. I’m not too concerned though. My wrists need a break!

Unexpectedly, I crushed my old story’s word count record tonight.

Old story word count: 18,945

Words before: 18,113

Words today: 2,022

New word count: 20,135

Yes, I’ve broken the 20k mark within a week. Let’s keep this momentum going, shall we?

I listened to Green Carnation’s – The Acoustic Verses consistently while writing the past few days. Today was no exception.

As for the picture inspiration, I wrote a lot of quick-witted scenes. Fortunately, I had these folks covering my back.

I didn’t reach my word count today because Monday’s leave me little time to write. Boo-urns!

The exciting thing is that my story is really taking off and I’m having a LOT of fun writing it.

As I mentioned in my first NaNoWriMo note, I have attempted other writing projects but always became dissatisfied with them. At the moment, my longest story I’ve attempted ended at 18,945 words. From the looks of things, by tomorrow, I should surpass old record.

And I’m not even a week into this yet. . .
